Electronic Submissions Gateway Next Gen (ESGNG)
For this project, I redesigned the electronic submission portal through which submissions can be received and processed by the FDA. It is a complicated portal with many sections and processes, from user registration to submission of files to a dashboard with statistics and reports.

Brief: Completely redesign the ESG portal to improve usability and aesthetics, working within the constraints of Appian.
User Registration Process
The first flow I designed was the user registration flow, which allowed the user to sign up for the portal and submit any required documents.
I made sure the process was clear, included all the necessary steps, and considered any potential errors the user may encounter.
User Management
After designing the registration flow, I worked on the user management pages. The user needed to be able to edit their own information, in addition to viewing current or potential users to change their status or remove them.
I created dozens of screens for the various functions of user management, including all of the modals for the different potential flows.
Dashboards & Reports
The most complicated design challenge was the dashboards and reports pages. These pages changed depending on the type of user, and had to show a large amount of complex data.
I was able to come up with designs that showed the necessary information without being overwhelming, and allowed the user to make changes when needed.
